UPS Delivery Problem NR 92173.

I haven’t seen one of these for quite some time, and it’s a nasty one.

As you can see, this loathsome spammer included a virus as an attachment to this e-mail message. More specifically, the “FakeAlert” trojan which generates phony messages that pop up one their screen making the victim believe that their system is infected with a virus (kind of ironic, eh?) and then tries to convince them to purchase some useless virus-removal software. It also creates shortcuts to porn sites. How lovely!

As you can see, my anti-virus program detected the virus from this message and removed it before it even reached my in-box. This spammer is obviously an amateur.

Nice try scumbags, but this time, you lose.

I just got this in my e-mail, I knew that it was quite obviously a virus but having faith in my anti virus software I decided to try and open it out of curiosity, thankfully avg prevented me from opening it, people who pull this garbage are nothing but low life Pieces of trash.

Funny thing, I just received this very scam as a text to my phone. Strict text, no attachment. I would literally have to be dumb enough to email the sender “sewsx0713@taqz.com”. Thanks y’all for posting this, it helped to confirm.

The curious thing is I have only once before recieved a scam message and that was about 5 years ago. What makes this one so persistant?

I received the same, from a Suzanne Purcell at UPS, referring to a package ordered on Dec 8th last. It’s weird but I did (by coincidence) purchase on line that same day and the package got lost (another awful story!). In any case, thanks to sites such as this, I am well clear of it!

Dear customer!
We were not able to deliver the postal package you have sent on the 22nd of February in time because the addressee’s address is erroneous.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.
United Parcel Service of America.

I noticed that others of you recieved emails close to your real package dates. This was true for myself as well. In fact I think the date mentioned in the email was the exact date that my real package was shipped out to me, only I got this email 2 months later. Someone at UPS is doing this. Anyone else also get their package damaged and have to file a claim?

I just got it to my WORK email even. From “Manager” Jeff something or another @ “help @ ups.com”. Idiot at the bottom of the email from UPS says “DHL International Services”…uh, not the same company? Yeah. Marked as junk & deleted.

My guess is that it is a hoax. The danger is in the attached ZIP file. I suggest you do not open it.

To be certain, you can always telephone your local UPS office and ask them.
